Michał Sadowski, MSc Eng., MBA, Master Mariner
President of the Management Board | Maritime Industry Expert
A master mariner and inland navigation master, manager and expert with many years of experience in the maritime industry. A graduate of Navigation, specialising in Maritime Transport, with a master’s degree in Management and a postgraduate MBA.
He gained his professional experience as a deck officer, chief officer and master, with responsibility for navigational safety, the organisation of maritime operations, crew management and vessel operations. As Master of the sail training ship Dar Młodzieży, he combines responsibility for commanding the vessel with organising the education and practical training of future merchant navy officers.
He has participated in shipyard supervision and the acceptance of new passenger vessels, representing shipowners during construction and contributing to documentation, procedures and instructions for ISM safety management systems. He also has extensive teaching experience as a sailing instructor and examiner. At MASAD, he is responsible for managing the company, its development and oversight of the Maritime division.
Mieczysław S. Ostojski, PhD, DSc, Eng.
Director of Environmental Affairs
An expert in water management, hydrology, meteorology and environmental protection, with extensive academic, administrative and international experience. A graduate of the Faculty of Hydro-Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology, he holds a postdoctoral degree in engineering and is an academic lecturer and the author of more than 200 scientific publications and research studies.
He has served as Director of a Regional Water Management Authority, Director of a department at the Ministry of the Environment and Director of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management — National Research Institute. He has also served as Executive Secretary and Chair of HELCOM, Poland’s Permanent Representative to the European Commission, Poland’s Permanent Representative to the World Meteorological Organization and Second Vice-President of the WMO.
He has contributed to the preparation and implementation of strategic projects concerning protection of the Baltic Sea, water management, flood risk management and climate change adaptation. At MASAD, he is responsible for developing the Environmental division and providing expert oversight of environmental projects.
